Lake County Baptist Church began as a Bible study in the summer of 1974. The three founding families
wished to begin a solid, biblically-based and separated fundamental work here in Waukegan. After founding
the church, they established Lake County Baptist School in August of 1974 and purchased the former Bonnie
Brook School building.
